Of course the PTO Read-A-Thon cannot happen without the tireless efforts of the many people involved. Thank you to the Read-A-Thon coordinators Elizabeth Naylor and Melissa Harper; parent helpers Laurie McDowell, Molly Nunes, and Renee Kiley, who all helped to secure and put together prizes; to Vice Principal Kyle Shaw at the Jacobs School for being a tremendous partner in the Read-A-Thon, as well as all of the Jacobs School teachers for their support and enthusiasm, to Principal Tony Hrivnak at the Memorial School, school nurse Sharon Striglio, and the ELA teachers Ms. Gearty, Ms. Dillon, Ms. Lombardi, Mrs. Reardon, and to the Memorial School Student Council members along with their advisors Mr. John Whittle and Mrs. Jennifer Cocchi for organizing the Memorial School Read-A-Thon Rally.
We also need to thank our prize donors: Buttonwood Books, New England Aquarium, Swan Boats, Star Land, Coast Guard, Nona’s, Patriot Cinema, Shipwrecked, Blue Hills, Water Wizz, and Hornstra.
One last thank you goes out to all the students who participated, the parents, teachers, family members and community who encouraged, supported, and donated.
