2020 Direct Donation Fundraiser

Supporting You & Your Student from Preschool Orientation through High School Graduation!

Parents and Caregivers,

We hope this letter finds you well and on a successful educational journey this 2020-2021 school year. Covid-19 has changed many things for our students and our schools. Despite the challenges, the Hull PTO is persevering with creative problem solving and modifications to continue offering opportunities for our students. Traditional fundraisers are going to be difficult this year but without strong fundraisers the PTO will not have the funds to continue to offer students all that we’ve offered them in the past. As a result, we are excited to offer you a new opportunity to support our students with a Direct Donation Fundraiser.

What is the Direct Donation Fundraiser?

We are asking each family to make a direct donation to the Hull PTO. Whether you contribute $5, $25, $50, or $100 please know that 100% of your donation goes directly to our schools to help our students and teachers. All donations are tax-deductible and receipts will be given upon request. If every family donated $10 we’d have nearly $10,000 in donations.

Why do we need a Direct Donation Fundraiser?

Tradition fundraisers require you to purchase something and the PTO receives a portion of the total sales. Event fundraisers such as the Halloween Dance and Color Run require in-person participation which is not feasible at this point in time. Our Direct Donation Fundraiser doesn’t require you to buy anything and we keep 100% of all donations.

Here’s a sample of what Hull PTO paid for during previous school years:

$7500 District wide field trips $1500 Teaching supplies during pandemic shutdown

$3300 District wide guest speakers $750 District wide enrichment materials

$1350 HHS scholarship and Boys State week $1950 Gifts to our school libraries
